Why Do Small Character Inkjet Printers Need Regular Nozzle Cleaning?
Over time, from our years of experience, we've found that both imported and domestically branded small character inkjet printers accumulate ink around the nozzle surface (nozzle, charging slot, deflection plate, and recovery slot) after prolonged operation. Regular cleaning by operators is necessary to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the printer, to achieve clear and uniform marking, and to extend the equipment's service life. Here are the steps for cleaning the nozzle of a small character inkjet printer:
-
Shut Down Normally and Prepare the Cleaning Solution After completing the day's production tasks, shut down the inkjet printer according to the standard procedure. During shutdown, put on rubber gloves, locate the cleaning pot, and ensure there is enough dedicated cleaning solution for the inkjet printer.
-
Clean Key Nozzle Areas Once the equipment has shut down, rinse key areas of the printhead such as the nozzle, charging slot, and recovery slot to remove residual ink. Repeat this process until the printhead surface is completely clean.
-
Thoroughly Dry and Replace the Nozzle Cover After cleaning the printhead, allow it to air dry or use a blowball to remove any remaining cleaning solution, ensuring the printhead is fully dry. Then, replace the printhead cover and return it to its cradle.
Overall, nozzle cleaning is not a complicated task. The key is to establish a routine and be more attentive during the process. It is important to use dedicated cleaning agents and tools and to follow the manufacturer's guidance and safety precautions.
